Our boys are 5, 4, and 2 - thank you, thank you, thank you for this.

So much packed in here.

Some of which I need to remind myself when all the parents with firstborn (or only) girls sometime seem to have an entirely different experience of parenting and practicing the faith in the little years. haha

I get that! I started writing this after my son threw some furniture across the room in excitement… that wouldn’t have even occurred to my daughter! I need to remember not to compare the boys to her.

My boys are 2 and 3. I frequently pray, “Lord, I know you’re going to sanctify this and use this (stubbornness, noise, some other trait that is grating on me) someday, but it’s not really useful right now. Please help!”

Oh man, I’ve prayed that too. 😂 My boys are 5 and 2 but the 5 year old has ADHD so he’s actually much harder to parent than my toddler haha. But he’s also beginning to be interested in spiritual things too which is so encouraging.

I like to think I'm still moments away from joining a motorcycle gang.

Being the father of 1 girl and 5 boys, this is what I have long felt, but could not so express. Worthy of the attention of many.

This was so encouraging. My boys are 6, 4, 2, and almost 1. I was feeling some of their destabilizing energy today.

Thank you for reminding me of the privilege it is to raise them in the name of Christ.

Wow! A few of us substack moms could get together and have our own football team😆

I’m so glad you found it encouraging!
